Existing buildings were carefully demolished within the factory complex to make room for a new 50m x 46.5m production hall in this design and build contract. A network of floor cable trenches were incorporated in the 200mm epoxy finished concrete floor. The structural system comprised of masonry columns and beams with site manufactured steel angle trusses to support longspan Aluminium roof sheeting. Roof ventilators and transcluscent sheets were also incorporated in this scheme.
